Flirt

I've been good today & I've been productive and there's laundry done, the sink's clear and the espresso machine has been cleaned and my morning coffee is going to be extra good tomorrow (or later this afternoon). Here's Flirt :

1. Don't Push Me
2. Degenerator

1978. Detroit. Flirt. Seriously, just an all around kick ass motherfarkin' single. Both sides rock, but "Degenerator" is the side I usually reach for when I'm occasionally manning the turntables in public. The kids dig it and you can dance to it.
The lovely Miss Rockee ReMarx appears to be pregnant on the cover, so you know that you probably don't want to piss her off any more than she already is. That would likely turn ugly. Volume is essential for this able slice of awesome.

1. Faster Than You
2. DMA
3. I'm Not Forgettin'
4. You Burn Me Up

Now while the single has been posted a few times around on the internets (I first heard it on the KBD Records) This follow up 10" ep doesn't seem to be that common. And since I finally found a copy fairly recently and really want to listen to it on my PMP, here it is in the finest of 1's & 0's with all the warmth that a scratchy old 30 year old piece of vinyl can bring.
The band is a bit more slick for this go round. There's a bit more Power Pop around the edges with the fancy guitar work, but it's going to take a few more listens before I know if anything sticks with me quite like the single does. Though it's apparent that Rockee Berlin has been wronged more than once in her life in this stupid man world. (Now I want cheesecake...)
If you're interested, (and why wouldn't you be) there is a cd/dvd compilation with a few more tracks to be had to add to your current household clutter. It's the right thing to do.
