Before there was Mazzy Star with Hope Sandoval, there was Opal with Kendra Smith and previous to that they called themselves Clay Allison and released this fabulous single. That's all you really need to know. You started downloading reflexively at Mazzy Star. It's Ok. I understand.

The Nurses. DC area. Dacoit. Howard Wuelfing played with the Slickee Boys briefly and Half Japanese later and seems to have some current artist management thing going that has a page that will not load for me right now, so screw it. (follow him on Twitter instead) I really like this single. It reminds me very much of an American version of the Homosexuals and that's all I really have to say on the matter. The Nurses had a couple of other singles and a 7" box set in an edition of 50 with those and some otherwise unreleased stuff that I will never be able to justify spending the money on. But enough with the chit chat. I have things to do. I'm also led to infer that D.Y.F. is shorthand for "Destroy Your Friends" for whatever that's worth.
