There was a certain point in Boston in the early part of the 80's when you could randomly pick up a large rock and underneath it the Del Fuegos would be playing and it would be littered with beer cans. Then came a few lps and a beer commercial ("We play folk music, 'cuz it's for folks" Yeah, they didn't get to live that nugget down.) and the eventual split at the end of the 80's with little hoopla or fanfare. These days main guy Dan Zanes has been making music for kids and has a signature Flea ukulele which as an ukulele player myself, is pretty cool. (Fleas are quite good buys for the money. They play well and are virtually indestructible. They're like the Squires of the ukulele world.) Pop a can of PBR and pretend you're folks.

Carsickness were from Pittsburgh. This is their 3rd single. The ever respectable Mutant Sounds has their lp up for a listen as well. It's something you might want to look into.
Thank you oh so much for the Del Fuegos-rip! I remember this single from way back in the early eighties listening to John Peel. Gives me cold shivers!
