Catching up

Certain circumstances in my regular life are starting to kick in an suck up my time and attention, so this little exercise is taking a further backseat than its usual couple times month upload and every couple months digitizing spree. We'll see what happens. For the moment though I'm going to continue to go through the last batches of singles I did a while back and with luck I'll find some hours and gumption to refill that folder with fresh items. Though that 1Tb external drive is starting to get a bit wiggy lately. It does not seem to have long to live. More backing up is in my future...

1. Stand Up
2. Deals in the Basement

Not much to find about these guys. From Connecticut. From the looks of the band picture on the back they seem to be like the only guys in Moodus, CT who wanted to be in a band, so they were stuck with each other. You got a Rocker, a guy who's a little more New Wave, a Hippie & the guy who wants to play drums in a Slade tribute act.
The single itself is actually pretty good. Rather primitive recording and with some nice Kbd edges. "Stand Up" is the stand out track of the two. Faster and louder. I would imagine these guys spent some time in NYC keeping track of what was going on there.

1. No Money No Future
2. Pilgrim's Progress

Another obscure one for which there is little or no info. Minneapolis & not bad sort of aggressivish rock and roll power pop or something despite the beards. It's the kind of thing that might float across a shuffle mix and make you look to see who it was. Some days for good, some days to press "next". Well, maybe the first song. I'm less sure of the b-side. I get the feeling from the tiny bit I've come across that these guys didn't hang out with the cool kids at the time.

1 What the cool kids are saying:

  1. Thank you very much for this two great singles. Cheers,
