I Fucking Hate Christmas Music

It's snowing 20" outside & I've slaved over a hot turntable all day for this shitty couple posts. You're Welcome. I've got one more Xmas one next week too. And for good measure I also redid and reupped the Teenettes tracks that seemed to cause some consternation. So no more whining. I've got a headache...

1. Sonny Columbus & his Del Fuegos : Punchbowl Full of Joy
2. Native Tongue : Do You Hear What I Hear
3. SSD : Jolly Old Saint Nicholas
4. Jeff & Jane Hudson : Jingle Bells
5. Christmas : O Holy Night
(As one handy .zip file)

No seriously, as a guy who likes novelty songs, I find Christmas music to be unbearable. And the fact that it tends nowadays to get shoved into my ears from every available speaker well before Thanksgiving only makes it worse. There was a time when I could ignore it, but the older I get the lower my tolerance. I do however have a few Christmas themed items from years gone by that I haven't purged for one reason or another. This is one of them. I did this for you. You owe me.
Jeff & Jane Hudson here are the couple responsible for the Rentals single I posted a long while back. Likewise with Christmas. (I keep stumbling on tracks by them I'd forgotten about...) SSD require little intro to most hardcore fans. Then there's Native Tongue. A friend & I acted as roadies for them (mostly as a way to see shows for free and get into bars at 18...) I also recently got the OK from them to post their Lp & Ep. Look for it sometime in the New Year. It still rocks.

1. A Merry Jingle
2. A Merry Jangle

This posting is dedicated to Vince.
What happens when you take half of the Sex Pistols & meld them with Thin Lizzy and they make a Christmas mashup single. This.
After that you let the engineer get really high and muck around with the tapes backward and you get a B-side.

1 What the cool kids are saying:

  1. Many Many Thanks for the Teenettes!
I do really enjoy your blog.
Today i linked to your blog for the "Boys are not proud" and "Inflatable Boys Clam" tracks from my facebookpage because of this discussion:
